ACT-IAC Pacific welcomes the participation of any government or industry executive who is interested in improving government through the effective and innovative application of information technology. Information on how to get involved is provided below.
GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES – HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Government employees participate in ACT-IAC as government associates of the American Council for Technology (ACT); this designation entitles you to all of the benefits and privileges of membership and is a free service to all government employees at the federal, state or local level.
All you have to do to become an ACT government associate is to create a user account on the ACT-IAC website. If you have not already done so, click here and create your account. Get involved today.
PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYEES – HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Private sector employees participate in ACT-IAC as members of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC). There are three levels of participation available – each of which has different costs and benefits. These options are described below.
Become a National IAC Member
As a member of IAC you become part of a national community that is committed to improving government. You will also have access to a wide range of information, opportunities for involvement and contacts that can enhance your personal and professional development.
Membership in the Industry Advisory Council is open to any company with an interest in the government IT marketplace. Every employee of the company is entitled to participate in ACT-IAC and receive all the benefits – including participation in all chapters. Annual dues are based on the company’s total government revenues. If you would like to see if your company is already an IAC National Member or are interested in membership, click here. National membership is open to any company that shares the ACT-IAC commitment to improving government. National memberships are applicable to companies with at least one location situated within 150 miles of Washington, DC.
Become a Regional IAC Member
IAC offers a second membership option – Regional Membership -- for individuals in the Pacific region whose employer is located more than 150 miles from Washington, DC. This is an individual membership of $95 annually. This provides membership in the ACT-IAC Pacific Chapter – with full chapter benefits -- and a limited range of benefits in the national ACT-IAC organization. If you would like information about this membership category, contact April Davis.
Become a Guest
If you don’t want to join ACT-IAC, you can put your name on the guest list and you will receive an invitation to attend many of the events and activities sponsored by ACT-IAC Pacific. You will not be eligible to serve on the Steering Committee and will not be entitled to any of the benefits accorded ACT-IAC members. You will also have to pay a non-member fee for events. If you would like to become a Guest, contact April Davis.
